My goal with this piece was something a bit quiet and also with energy. I have a love of water and this piece has the elements of water – in color, in marks, in the subtle references of splashing and waves, and the ebb and flow of the sea. Having lived all my life near the Atlantic Ocean and feeling the ocean breezes and hearing the sounds of the waves are the most peaceful moments that I can think of.
